Cartoons were one of the best things in life as a child.Other than going out to play,watching cartoons was something to do given the fact that during that time, the evolution of technology was not as great as today. I dont think i have come across any individual who dislikes cartoons.Even as an adult you just cannot hate it!Cartoon network was my favourite channel.There was a routine i use to follow to watch my favourite cartoons,every single day. As i enrolled into primary school,i never got a chance to watch my cartoons on a daily basis.I still looked forward to watching them during the weekends. Gurdwara Cup is the Sikh festival of sports in Malaysia.Gurdwara Cup is the 2nd biggest sporting event in Malaysia after SUKMA.Initially Gurdwara Cup was only a tournament of hockey.But as the years went by, it has developed to be a major sporting event in the country.These days , it consists of sports like hockey,football,netball,badminton and golf to name a few.All states in Malaysia are encouraged to join this yearly affair including Sabah,Sarawak and our neighbours; Singapore.I have been lucky enough to have participated in a few Gurdwara Cups since i was 12 years old.I have represented Melaka and Negeri Sembilan state.I have played alongside my batchmate and fellow classmate in ALAM,Bildip Singh and i know him since then. September of 2016, a significant event took place.One of our childhood friend decided to tie the knot.Obviously all of us (bridegrooms friends) were very happy for him as well as excited at the same time.Some of ya`ll might know what a Punjabi wedding is like.For those who dont,its BIG and FAT!Days of fun,laughter and dancing.Celebration will go on till days.I was lucky enough to be around during the auspicious event.The couple were college sweethearts and decided to get married after being 8 years in a relationship.It was a great couple of days as it brought together all of us friends who are busy with working and studying lives.We did what we could as a team to ensure the wedding was a success.As always,working together with friends seems less like WORK and more like FUN.Most of the things during the functions were well planned and executed but we did still run some errands and contributed where ever possible. Since I have never joined an international marathon before, the excitement and curiosity made me sign up for it. As I'm staying far, I had to get to Penang a day before the marathon. Most roads were blocked and Penang was way more packed on that day like never before. As the clock tick pass 5 in the morning, I got up and prepared myself for the run, I could the feel the euphoric rush in me as the cold morning breeze swept by me. I had to walk for few miles before reaching the starting point as roads are blocked and no cars could get through. This was good as I could warm up before the long run. As for me i sailed on a container ship so, during my watch I must maintain everything is going well if not I will report and inform my officer on duty. Spending time at sea for a weeks will make your self crazy, hahaha... but if you manage to make yourself feel good about did then thats the way.
