What are the challenges in TIME constraint????

Image
Time is the only project constraint over which managers hold no control. Unlike costs, which can be constrained, or scope, which can be adjusted, time always flows at a steady pace. Without the luxury of slowing or stopping time, project managers must resort to tracking their teams’ progress against a series of milestones. In the very best cases, stakeholders and project leaders can accurately project the amount of time required for teams to meet their goals under expected conditions. Handling unexpected challenges under tight deadlines is what sets expert project management professionals apart from their competition. Challenge 1 Inaccurate Predictions Sometimes, project stakeholders are simply too optimistic about the amount of time it takes for team members to complete their tasks. In other cases, physical resources like manufacturing or parts deliveries might take longer than expected to arrive on site. Clever project managers build buffers and other contingenc...

Image

Failing leaders just do not pick up on or value other people's signals or if they do, they do not care, all demonstrating a fundamental lack of empathy. This emotional intelligence skill relates directly to social awareness. 2. Miss key organizational clues, norms, decision networks and politics. These type of "leaders" are mostly clueless and leading in name only. They somehow landed a leadership title, most likely by accident, circumstance, timing or favoritism. 3. Blame others for outcomes. A great leaders look 'in the mirror' when things go wrong and 'out the window' applauding others when things go right. It is vice versa compare to bad leaders. 4. Avoid dealing with and resolving conflicts. Failing leaders avoid dealing with conflicts, fail to provide constructive feedback, and duck key relationship issues. They often think, " If i ignore it, it will o away". Somet...

Do's Every Good Leader Should Practice

DO'S 1. Read/Understand own emotions and recognize the impact on self and others. 2. Know one's strengths and limits. the best leaders understand they can never know and do everything and do not pretend that they do. 3. Know and have a good sense of one's self-worth and capability. There is a big divide between confidence and arrogance. Confidence comes from a strong sense of self-worth and self-awareness. arrogance comes from fear in many cases and a sense of entitlement in others. The best leaders are very confident in what they know and can do from an objective view, rather than an assumed view. 4. Think and act optimism (seeing the upside). There are two kinds of attitudes in the world; those who think and act through a lens of scarcity. 5 traits of a true leader

Image
Every time when we have to decide who to be a leader. We ask ourselves, and each other, what we expect from our elected leaders. What fundamental traits does a leader need to have? The traits of a leader plays a major role in determining the height of success of a team. So what are the traits do we consider should implement in a good and rightful leader in order to lead us with righteousness. 1. Clarity We want leaders to articulate their message clearly. They need to tell us what they’re about, where they’re going, and how they’re going to get there. And it needs to be explicit. Ambiguity in language or intention tends to frustrate people, as do amorphous promises. Leaders should avoid language that is so detailed and pedantic that it cannot be understood, as well as language that is so fluffy that it says nothing. 2. Consistency The word “flip-flop” emerged a number of years ago as a critique of leaders who couldn’t choose a position and stick to it. It’s not a compl...

FREEDOM TO LEAD

Image
AUNG SAN SUU KYI Aung San Suu Kyi, the daughter of General Aung San, was born in 1945, three years before Burma’s independence and her father's assassination. After leaving the country in the early 1960s for schooling and a position at the United Nations, Suu Kyi returned to Burma in 1988 to be with her ailing mother. She returned to a brewing maelstrom in the country. General Ne Win had just resigned, leaving a vacuum in political leadership; there was growing discontent over the economy and massive, countrywide protests on August 8, 1988. The military cracked down on the pro-democracy demonstrations, killing thousands of protesters. At a rally of half a million people in Rangoon just three weeks later, Suu Kyi, already in a position of great political influence as the daughter of General Aung San, called for a democratic government on August 26. But a new military junta, led by General Saw Maung, forcefully took control on September 18. In response, Suu Kyi helped estab...

Image
A good night sleep promotes good health and it is essential that we get adequate sleeping hours that our body needed. But at times , we do find trouble in sleeping even though we are dead tired. So here are some do's and don't in order to get a good night sleep.      DO'S 1. Take medications that are meant for nighttime use . Some over the counter medications like those taken for allergies or cold relief contain ingredients like pseudoephedrine which can keep you awake. Medications that provide the same relief but that are formulated for nighttime use are less likely to impede your sleep. 2. Disconnect from all your electronics at least an hour before bed . The blue light emitted by televisions, computers, and smart phone screens can trick your brain into believing it is day instead of night which may interfere with sleep. 3. Take a cool shower . As we fall asleep, our body temperature drops. This is one of the signals the body uses t...
