Megadeth
After 16 years after the original show was banned. One of the biggest name in Thrash Metal, Megadeth finally set foot in our local ground here at Stadium Negara. It is a huge victory for the people of Malaysia and all who love heavy metal. Dave Mustaine (frontman) together with long time bassist David Eleffson and new members guitarist Kiko Loureiro and drummer Dirk Verbeuren set Stadium Negara alight with their heavy riffing and solo that'll make your ear bleeds.
The tickets is sold at RM428 for Deth Pitt, RM388 for Rock Zone and others at RM358, RM288 and RM198. The concert is in support of their latest album, Dystopia which earned the band a Grammy award for Best Metal Performance at 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
There are several issues present before we manage to be in the concert. The tickets: As you can see by the pricing list, it was expensive. Since we were students, I need to come up with a good plan in order to be as near as possible to the stage. Story cut short, I manage to get myself a Rock Zone ticket with the help of my persuasive and communicating skill which is one of the skills that you need to possess in order to become a good leader. The date: I dont know why the hell on earth they want to make a concert on weekdays. We are having classes but Megadeth is love, Megadeth is life. By any means,we need to come up with something in order to get our ass in the concert.Again, a good leadership skill which is planning skills need to be used in order to plan our movement from Malacca to KL and back to Malacca without any issues.
With good persuasive, communicating and planning skills, we arrived in Stadium Negara to headbang! We were served with a healthy dose of classics era of Megadeth such as Hangar 18, Tornado of Souls and Symphony of Destruction.
Although the crowd is filled with 'veterans' , our nights end with aching neck from the head banging. That means, Megadeth have undoubtedly rock the stage! Mission accomplished. ;)
