Therefore, competent and skillful mariner leader are required to navigated the vessel and bring the vessel, cargo and crew from one port to another safety and efficiently. With that in mind focus on leadership and managerial skills as the key to development of successful navigating officers. 

As leaders very officers had to make sure that decisions are made well and precise in order to carry out a task properly or in the event of taking action.
