A daddy's teaching!

As we were introduced to this world, the first two super powered humans we were introduced to is our mommy and daddy. So i would like to take this oppurtunity to say somethings about by dad and also what leadership skills or teachings he always insist on.

Thus, we know there are many leadership teachings and also skills available. It just about are we going to use them in our daily life.My dad, is the most consistent, patient and committed leader i know. A hardworking guy, life hasnt always been super easy for him. He generally responds to life with a calm assured demeanor.

What does a leader mean to you?

Being a leader to me is both an honor and a privilege.  To me it means your peers have entrusted you to make decisions that influence their lives.  Others have the confidence that the decisions you make are ones they trust.  To me it is that over time you have displayed the ability to resolve issues and make decisions that provide results no matter how large or small.

I think the greatest lesson for any leader is to understand the various personalities that we deal with.  Knowing how to reach each person in the correct manner, providing them with the tools they need to achieve the goals set out for them.

Lessons from dad!

1. Leaders never stop learning.

2. Leaders serve others first.

3. Leaders are thrifty.

4. Leaders are not defined by a position.

5. Leaders appreciate the uniqueness of each individual.

6. Leaders continually raise the bar.

7. Leaders don’t give up.

8. Leaders help others learn to do what they didn’t think they could do.

9. Leaders provide a sense of security in the midst of uncertainty.

Dad, thank you for being an example to me of a fair, honest and trustworthy leader.  Your wisdom in my life is a gift that I treasure!
