Ronaldo de Asis Moreira or commonly known as Ronaldinho or Ronaldinho Gaucho, is a Brazilian professional football player and current club ambassador for Spansih team , Barcelona after signing for them in September 2016. His main playing position is an attacking milfielder or forward. Born on 21 March 1980 in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He first started develop interest for futsal and beach soccer which later expanded to organized football. He first taste of fame when he scored all 23 goal in a 23-0 victory against a local team. He was identified as a rising star when he scored two goals from penalties at the 1997 U-17 World Championship at Egypt.

He started his career at Gremio youth squad. He made his senior side sebut during the 1998 Copa Libertadores with 23 goals in 48 matches. The most notably displays of his performance was during the derbie against Internacional on 20 June 1999 in the Rio Grande do Sul State Championship final.

In 2001, he signed a five year deal with French club, Paris Saint Germain. He made his league debut for the club on 4th August 2001 wearing the number 21 shirt against Auxerre. He was influential in the 2001-02 Coupe de Ligue, helping PSG reaching the semi finals where they were elimintaed by Bordeaux. In 2003, he moved to Barcelona and won his first league title in 2004-2005 an was named Fifa World Player of the Year on 20 December 2004.

In 2005-06 season, he won the FIFPro World Player of the Year and was named the 2005 European Footballer of the Year. During this season was the best for him as Barcelona won the Champions League Final against Arsenal and clinching the second La-Liga title giving his first career double.

In July 2008 , he joined AC Milan and he started his first season on a high note with 10 goal in all 32 matches appearence. With struggling in mainatining his fitness, he found difficulty to get a place in the team line up. With that his second season at the club wasn't impressing. On  11 January 2011, he joined Flamengo, he won his first seliverware with the club after winning the Taca Guanabara. He then made a move to Atletico Mineiro on 4th June 2012 in a six month contract 4 days after leaving Flamengo. The following year he helped Atletico Mineiro win the Campeonota Mineiro and led to the club's first title of Copa Libertadores. He was voted as 2013 South American Footballer of the Year. He left the club in July after winning the 2014 Recopa Sudamericana  

Shortly after he left, he joined Mexican club Queretaro. He was everyone's football idol at the team. I In June 2015, he announced his departure from the club. On July 2015, he announced his return to Brazil and signed an 18 month contract with Fluminese but on September the club made a mutual agreement with him to terminate the deal.
