Helo lads,ladies & whoever stalk our class blog. On the 3rd September (ye tau dah lama tp nak cerita jugak),ALAM rugby team participated in Sukan Mahasiswa Zon Selatan 2016 at University College Agroscience Malaysia (UCAM) in Alor Gajah,Malacca. It was a 10s a side format.

In the grouping stage,we were in the same group with UniKL MITEC and Kolej Yayasan Melaka. We lost 0-7 to UniKL MITEC and won 25-0 against Kolej Yayasan Melaka. In the 2nd round match up,we beaten UniKL MICET tremendously by 29-0 but unfortunately we lost 0-5 to MMU in the next game. But luck was favoring us as we met Manipal Medical College in the semi final and we won by 27-0.
Then goes the grand final match when we played MMU for the second time of the day. The game was very tough for me as well as the other players. Both teams dying to bring home the championship trophy. But sadly we lost by close margin,5-7. During the first half,we scored 1 try but didn't manage to convert it. Then in the second half, MMU boys scored a try under the goal post and it made them easier to convert the try and added 2 more points to beat our team.

It was very frustrating for us because we hardly make any mistakes but most of the time the referee penalize us many time for some reason. Anyway we had good time playing as a team and that is what matters the most. Well it was my first rugby tournament after I left ALAM in 2013. And it has been a while since the last time I played in a major tournament in Peninsular Malaysia. I learnt a lot from the tournament and try to improve on my weaknesses.
